Manuel Ochoa - President and Founder
As President and Founder of Agency Matrix, Manuel’s foray into the insurance industry began as a licensed independent property and casualty agent in Texas in the 1990s. Moving on to represent several successful Managing General Agents, Manuel further deepened his experience and understanding of the insurance industry and the inefficient and ineffective processes that burdened the agent and the industry as a whole. As a self-taught software developer, he was able to begin writing code for the MGA he was working at. Manuel saw the need to create a web-based agency management system, and soon thereafter Agency Matrix was born. While the first version had limited functionality, praise spread quickly among his agent colleagues using the program. Manuel’s background as an agent and programmer turned out to be the perfect mix of talent for such a program, and Agency Matrix program has continued to grow and evolve based on the feedback and input of its ever growing base of clients. In addition to his insurance and programming experience, Manuel also holds a Cisco CCNP certification as well as Microsoft certifications of MCSA, MCSE, MCTS, and MCDBA.
Jeff Johnson - Chief Operating Officer
Jeff Johnson comes to Agency Matrix, LLC with more than a dozen years of business operations and executive management experience. His twenty year career has taken him through every level and area of the corporate infrastructure from managing and cultivating small start-up companies to working within established large corporations. These experiences and opportunities have provided a vast and valuable knowledge in the areas of service/support, sales, business operations, growth, and development, as well as management and leadership. Jeff’s work experience includes many years of customer service and underwriting in the insurance industry, as well as sales as a licensed P&C LRA and Group 1 agent, Operations Manager for PC Group Holdings, and VP of Operations and COO of Globaltec Solutions and Splash Media.
Daniel Ochoa - Director of Business Development
Daniel’s background spans fourteen years in the insurance industry, during which time he has had the opportunity to work and gather valuable insight within all facets of the industry. As a marketing rep with several large insurance companies, he was able to travel extensively throughout the industry to meet and work in tandem with insurance agency clients. Additional experience within the commercial side and in premium finance only served to expand his experience and to provide him with valuable knowledge in all areas of sales, service/support, growth and development. However, the single greatest asset that Daniel brings to Agency Matrix is his experience as an insurance agent himself. Having owned and operated his own insurance office, Daniel understands and identifies with the needs and concerns from the agent’s side of the desk.
